Kuilsriver ( meaning river of pools) is situated at the foot of the Bottelary Hills and is considered a Northern Suburb of Cape Town. Kuilsriver is 20km from the V & A Waterfront and 10km from Cape Town International Airport. The R300 gives easy access to the N1 and N2.

Kuilsriver is the gateway to the wine routes – the Zevenwacht Wine Estate at the edge of the Stellenbosch wine route lies just above Kuilsriver. In the late 1600’s, the Dutch East India Company started a cattle fold here. Later it was a staging post on route to the Stellenbosch area. Take a day trip from Kuilsriver to visit some of the 106 cellars that form part of the Stellensbosch Wine Route.
